Creating a Truck Order Entry

Creating an Truck Order Entry is a straightforward process facilitated by a user-friendly form.

To access this form:

  1. Click the Order Entry menu button.
  2. Go to the CREATE ORDER tab.
  3. Select Truck as the Order Entry Type.

The form provides several fields to complete, divided into four main sections:

Truck Order Entry

This section includes information related to the order itself and its content. It has the following fields:

  1. Bill of Lading # (mandatory)
  2. PO Number
  3. Shipper Order Number
  4. Pick Up Number
  5. Order Type (mandatory): Possible values are Dry Bulk, Liquid, and Van Freight.
  6. Order Weight (mandatory)
  7. UOM (mandatory): Possible values are Pounds (lbs), Kilos (kgs), Gallons, and Tons.

Additionally, depending on the Order Type selected (Dry Bulk, Liquid, or Van Freight), new fields will appear related to the material being transported.

Pickup

The second section of the form is related to the pickup location and timing.

  1. Pickup Location (mandatory): It expands a dropdown menu with a list of warehouses.
  2. Pickup Date (mandatory): Prompts a calendar to choose a date.
  3. Earliest Pickup Time (mandatory)
  4. Latest Pickup Time (mandatory)

Delivery

Similar to the second section, the third section of the form is related to the delivery location and timing.

  1. Delivery Location (mandatory): It expands a dropdown menu with a list of warehouses.
  2. Delivery Date (mandatory): Prompts a calendar to choose a date.
  3. Earliest Delivery Time (mandatory)
  4. Latest Delivery Time (mandatory)

Final Section

The final section of the form contains fields for the contact person regarding this order, as well as notes related to the shipment or directed to the carrier.

  1. Contact Name (mandatory)
  2. Contact Email (mandatory)
  3. Shipping / Carrier Notes
  4. SUBMIT ORDER: Click this button to create the order.

Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be edited or deleted in OnTrack. To make changes or request its removal, contact Customer Support.
